Why it happens

A short circuit between the PV array and ground, or damp air around the array with poor insulation to ground. With a battery: the battery rack shorted to ground, or in a humid environment with poor insulation.

The fix, step by step

1. Installer Set Insulation resistance protection to the minimum value and restart the inverter
2. Installer Check that the PE cable of the device is correctly connected
3. Installer Check the PV array's output-to-ground impedance. Short circuit or inadequate insulation detected? Rectify it
4. Installer Battery rack connected? Send a shutdown command to devices on the same DC bus and start insulation impedance detection for the rack
5. Installer Check the battery rack-to-ground impedance and rectify any short circuit or inadequate insulation. Check that the PE cable is correctly connected
6. Installer Rack impedance below the protection threshold on rainy and cloudy days? Change the Insulation resistance protection threshold setting
