How question.solar handles your data. Short and plain.

Who we are

question.solar is run by AUROWE UAB, which also runs PVDIS.

Controller: AUROWE UAB, Beržų al. 1, Laumėnų k., Samylų sen., Kauno r. sav., LT-53118, company code 307574919, Lithuania. Contact: hello@question.solar.

“Get new answers and videos” emails

If you sign up for emails about new answers and videos on question.solar, AUROWE UAB stores your email address, the website and language you used, the version of the consent text you agreed to, the times you signed up, confirmed or unsubscribed, and a coded form of your IP address (we do not keep the address itself). We use this only to send you the emails you asked for and to be able to show that you agreed. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

We first send you one email with a confirmation link. Nothing else is sent until you click it. If you do not confirm within 7 days, we delete your address and the other sign-up details. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link, and you can also write to hello@question.solar. After you unsubscribe we keep only a short record (email, dates, consent version) so we can prove it and make sure we do not write to you again, for up to 5 years after you unsubscribe; if you ask, we delete it sooner (we then cannot block you from being added again by mistake). The data is kept on our own web hosting at Hostinger International Ltd, on servers in Boston, USA. The transfer is protected by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses in Hostinger’s contract; the pvdis.com privacy notice explains this in full. We do not use a newsletter service. Only our hosting provider stores the data for us, and we never sell or share your address for anyone else’s use.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time for a copy of your data (also in a reusable format), to correct it, to delete it or to limit its use, and you can withdraw your consent at any time; withdrawal does not affect emails sent before. You can also complain to a data protection authority, for example the State Data Protection Inspectorate of Lithuania (VDAI), where AUROWE UAB is registered.
