QS-114 · Operation & maintenance

Customer wants to clean the panels with a pressure washer and some soap. Is that OK?

The short answer
Not like that. JinkoSolar says soft cloth, neutral water (pH 6.5–8), no abrasives, and under 675 kPa if a hose or pressure set is used.

Plain explanation

JinkoSolar's manual recommends cleaning with a soft cloth, dry or damp, and neutral water with a pH of 6.5 to 8; water with high mineral content can leave deposits. Abrasive material must never be used, and chemicals are not recommended because they can affect the warranty and yield. If a hose or backpack-style pressure set is used, water pressure should be below 675 kPa. Clean in the early morning or late afternoon when modules are cooler, and never clean a module with broken glass or exposed wiring.
