Huawei inverter shows alarm 2068 Battery Abnormal and the LUNA won't work. What's the checklist?

The short answer
Check the battery fault LED, battery enable/RS485 settings, power and comm cables, then do the manual's restart sequence.

Plain explanation

From the Huawei manual for the SUN2000 + LUNA2000: Look at the battery: if its fault LED is on → supplier. In the app check the battery is enabled and RS485 parameters are right. The rest of the checklist is below; work through it in order. Installer only: DC and AC work on a live PV system is dangerous, so owners should note the code and call their installer.

Steps from the source

  1. Look at the battery: if its fault LED is on → supplier
  2. In the app check the battery is enabled and RS485 parameters are right
  3. Installer checks battery power and comm cables, and that the auxiliary power switch is ON
  4. Restart per manual: send shutdown command, switch AC/DC/battery off, wait 5 min, switch on battery → AC → DC
  5. If batteries were removed, set Battery type = None
